1961 Chevrolet Corvette

Offered for sale is an extremely original and very well sorted 1961 Corvette. This is a 3-owner vehicle that has always been titled here in California. The last owner had the vehicle for 11 years and bought the car from a close friend who owned it for 35 years. Starting in 2014 the last owner started methodically restoring the vehicle to a very high standard. With the exception of a few items, anything that needed attention was either rebuilt or replaced with original parts to keep the entire vehicle as original as possible. The story passed down from each owner would indicate that the mileage displayed on the odometer is accurate and original. It is still using its original engine and transmission. In 2013 the engine was inspected and its condition was consistent with what you would expect from an engine with this mileage. It was resealed and currently runs absolutely perfectly. The carburetors were rebuilt by Al of Chicago Corvette Supply also known as “mistercarb”. Almog the few items that were upgraded from the factory were a Pertronix ignition system and an upgraded am/fm stereo system that is integrated with the factory original head unit controls. 

The car condition speaks for itself, 63 year old vehicles don’t get this far without a lot of care and attention. No stone went unturned in preparation for being judged, countless hours of very experienced labor went into getting all the details right and making it look the way it does now. Everything on the car is functioning exactly like it should and the vehicle is an absolute pleasure to operate. It’s won multiple car shows and placed in many over the years. 

It is sold with a large collection of receipts going back to the 80’s and its original removable hardtop and stand.
